Eyetracking tests
Interested in what users see but don't say? Eyetracking is the answer !
When a user test is combined with eyetracking research, you gain insight in the viewing behaviour of your user. While performing normal tasks, u-sentric can follow the eye movements of your user or potential user when using your product.
What kind of information do you get?
- Which items attract the user's the attention immediately ?
- How long does the user look at an item?
- In which order does the user scan the page?
- Which are the zones where they search/look the most for information?
- Which elements don't receive visual attention?
By analyzing the viewing behaviour of all test users, we define gaze patterns (see image) & heatmaps. In this way, you will receive a detailed overview of how users look at your product. Of course, we combine these results with identifying the usability problems of your product !

Case: Electrabel B2C
For Electrabel, u-sentric has done several eyetracking studies. We started with an eyetracking evaluation of the prototype of the new Electrabel B2C website. In this way, Electrabel knew if they were on the right track.
After implementing the recommendations, Electrabel could launch the new Electrabel website, which was a success. The final version was tested again with eyetracking in the summer of 2008 to improve the user friendliness even more !
In the meanwhile, u-sentric has also done eyetracking studies for Electrabel in Germany and will do another one this year for Electrabel in The Netherlands.
