			At the Webscene Expo 2008, Tara gave the presentation &quot;Guerilla Usability Tests? User testing on a shoestring&quot;. This conference was focussed on the many web professionals and was built up as a full expo for all web related projects. Their were many workshops, information booths, demo sessions, ... The presentation will be made available on the Webscene Expo 2008 website.

On 15/4, The Belgian Association for Internal Communication (BVIC) organized an event on loyalty within the work environment in the Dexia Congress Center. There were more than 150 participants.

U-sentric participated in this succesful event about HR and internal communication by demonstrating how eyetracking research could inform you about how users look, read, ... on your website or intranet.

Depending on how representative designers are of the target audience, a project might need more or less user testing. Still, usability concerns never go away completely.

One of usability's main laws is that <strong>&quot;designers are not users&quot;</strong>. The usability discipline exists because systematic methods can overcome the gap between the design team and its target audience. You don't have to rely on your best guesses: you can find out how actual customers behave and what you can do to make them buy more.
